In January, the weather in Paphos is moderate winter weather. There are both sunny days and rainy/cloudy days. January is the coldest and most rainy month of the year. Nevertheless, more that half the days are dry and sunny.

Although for many European visitors the climate seems mild and comfortable, Cypriots consider January a very cold month that usually hides many surprises such as a lot of snow mainly in the Troodos mountain range. January is the second rainiest month of the year, although during many occasions you could experience prolonged periods of amble sunshine and clear skies.

3. What clothes to wear in January
You will mostly use light winter clothes. It is also recommended to brink your jeans, pullovers and a warm jacket for the night time and for cold days. You do not need to bring your heavy coat. Also, a couple of T-shirts and short for the sunny days is nice to have. It does not rain too much in Paphos however you will need an umbrella for those few rainy days. The rain does not last for long so your would probably wont stay at your hotel the whole day. Sunglasses are always handy. Below are a few photos I have taken during January so that you can get a better idea of the weather and what most people wear.
