4. Sleeping at night

For sleeping you need to use the A/C. At Paphos village at Troodos mountains it may be possible to sleep without A/C but you will probably have the windows open. Mosquitoes will bother you in August so have you repellents.

Enjoy the beach. Sunbathing and swimming. Try watersports spend the whole day at Paphos waterpark. In early morning or in the late afternoon you can go for excursions to some historical places or archaeological sites. August is the month when most Cypriots take their vacations so many small shops and businesses are closed for several days during this month. The cities have less traffic and Nicosia seems deserted, while the Cypriots who didn't go abroad for their vacations are crowded on the coastal resorts of the island.
