In August, the weather in Cyprus is warm and sunny with daytime temperature reaching 40 °C. At the coastal cities there will be a few days with extreme heat and moisture.
With such a warm weather, the beach is a must during the day and at nightime you can enjoy the cosmopolitan vibe of Cyprus which is full of holiday makers.

2. Cyprus temperature in August
During the day the temperature is 33-43 °C and it drops to 23-33 at night. The sky is clear with no rain. The sun sets at 20:20. The weather at Troodos mountains is a bit colder with temperatures of 25-35 °C and daytime.
3. What clothes to wear in August
You will only use summer clothes. At day time you will probably wear shorts, t-shirt, swimming suit etc. The same stand for night time. Below are a few photos I have taken during August so that you can get a better idea of the weather and what most people wear. Do not forget to use sun protection, such as hats, sunscreen and sunglasses. Have plenty of sun cream with you as well as a bottle of water.
4. Sleeping at night
For the nighttime you will need to use ther airconditining or sometimes having the windows open is enought. Mosquitoes can be a problem during night however if you use the A/C or a repelant they wont bother you.
5. Going to the beach in August
The sea water temperature depends on your destination. In the south coasts of Limassol, Larnaca and Ayia Napa the waters are shallower and warmer with temperatures of 24-26 °C in August. The west cost of Paphos and northern coasts of Latchi have colder waters with temperatures of 22-24 °C in August.
