In December, the weather in Paphos is moderate winter weather. There are both sunny days and rainy/cloudy days. More that half of the the days are dry and sunny.
The sea temperature is about 19°C so swimming is for the brave ones. The rest of us we can enjoy the sunny days by the sea or head to Troodos mountains and explore the picturesque villages, wineries, nature trails, churches and monasteries.

2. Paphos temperature in December
During the day the temperature is 15-25 °C. The mild temperatures of daytime should not trick you, though, since nights are cold and the temperature drops to 8-15 °C. On average, there are 7-8 rainy days in December. Periods of disturbed weather can last from one to three days in a row. The sun sets at 17:00.
3. What to wear in December
You will mostly use light winter clothes. It is also recommended to bring jeans, pullovers, and a warm jacket for the night time. No need to bring your heavy coat. Also, a couple of T-shirts and short for the sunny days. It does not rain too much in Paphos however you will need an umbrella for those few rainy days. The rain does not last for long so your would probably wont stay at your hotel the whole day. Sunglasses are always handy. The sea water temperature at Paphos is 18-20 °C in December, which can be a bit cold but it is common to see people getting into the sea for a few minutes.

December weather that is sunny but not hot makes this month ideal to see the cultural and historic sites. Outdoor activities, excursions and day trips to explore the island are very enjoyable. There are several cultural events throughout December as well.
